Riva Sync
Improved Sync Accuracy for Recurring Meetings (for Modern Microsoft Exchange)
Ensuring CRM data integrity is at the core of everything we do, and our latest update is bringing that to our Microsoft Graph connector (Modern Microsoft Exchange Connector).
Previously, updates to individual meetings in a recurring series could cause inconsistencies during CRM sync, such as duplicated, shuffled, or deleted events.
With our enhanced occurrence indexing logic, each meeting is now tracked more accurately, whether you update a single instance or the entire series. This eliminates sync confusion and preserves the integrity of your calendar data.
The result? More reliable, precise, and consistent calendar data across your Exchange and CRM systems. This update applies to both Riva On-Premise and Riva Cloud.
Sales Engagement
1. Promote Responsible Email Behavior with Configurable Send Limits
Riva 2025.3 introduces configurable send limits, enabling admins to enforce their email strategies and policies in line with compliance requirements and email best practices. You can now configure email send limits per user across different levels, which include:
- Rate Limit – Maximum number of recipients allowed per Email Burst, per user.
- Daily Limit – Maximum number of emails a user can send via Email Burst in a day.
- Weekly Limit – Maximum number of emails a user can send via Email Burst in a week.
In addition to better regulatory compliance and improved spam prevention, send limits invite the opportunity for a more intentional email strategy focused on client engagement and experience.

2. Optimize Your Email Strategy with Smarter Send Limits
We’ve also improved how send limits are applied. When a scheduled Email Burst is deleted, the unused send capacity is instantly restored to your limits. This means you can reschedule right away without delay or risk of exceeding compliance thresholds.
By preserving your productivity, you can keep your client engagement plans on track, without unexpected send limit constraints.
3. Maximize Your Availability with Precision Scheduling
Being responsive and flexible for clients are characteristics present in top-performing advisors, and they need a scheduling tool that matches their mindset.

In Bookings, advisors and admins can now override regular schedules to add or remove availability for specific days and times. This ensures advisors present their most accurate availability while tailoring meeting windows to the needs of their clients.
Some examples include:
- Accommodate high-priority client requests with one-off openings.
- Block off unavailable days (for example, compliance reviews, internal planning, or conferences) without altering recurring availability.
Be available when clients need you most (for example, tax season, market volatility, or major life events).
4. Auto-Reschedule Weekend Emails for Better Engagement
Riva 2025.3 helps admins enforce a healthy balance between advisor performance and client experience with a new capability to automatically exclude weekend sends. If enabled, any emails scheduled for Saturday or Sunday will automatically shift to the next business day.
This is a simple yet important feature for superior client engagement:
- Respecting client boundaries by avoiding weekend communication, building trust.
- Improving email performance with higher open and response rates during business days.
- Complying with regulatory expectations, ensuring client communication is done during appropriate business hours.
5. Quickly Troubleshoot Email Attachment Errors
Riva 2025.3 helps admins enforce a healthy balance between advisor performance and client experience with a Avoid the guesswork when it comes to troubleshooting email attachment errors. When including attachments to Email Bursts, Riva 2025.3 delivers improved validation logic to immediately flag unsupported file types upon attaching. Additionally, a clear error message is shown for unsupported file types and attachment limits violation.
Instead of dealing with failed email sends and poor deliverability, advisors can troubleshoot any attachment-related errors immediately during the workflow.
Futureproof your Riva Integrations by Migrating to Microsoft Graph
Phased Migration from EWS to Microsoft Graph Now Supported
Migration from Office 365 EWS to the Modern Microsoft Exchange Connector, powered by Microsoft Graph, has been ongoing since last quarter. Through backend enhancements, we now support phased migrations.
What this means for you:
- Migrate in batches to reduce server load, avoid Microsoft Graph API throttling, and run controlled tests.
- No sync disruption: EWS and Graph users can coexist without downtime.
- No policy reconfiguration needed: your Riva sync policies continue to work across both sync types.

This is ideal for managing the migration of a large user base. You can work with your Account Manager to identify logical migration batches and plan your transition timeline.
Reminder: Microsoft announced the deprecation of EWS in October 2026. Migrating now ensures alignment with their roadmap while avoiding future sync disruptions. To learn more about Riva’s capabilities and supported features for Microsoft Graph, read our overview.
