Riva for FSC: Get the Right Information, at the Right Time, to the Right People

Earlier this year, Riva was named a key technology partner by Salesforce to support Interactions in the Financial Service Cloud (FSC). With this newest release, Riva expands to support Interaction Summaries!

Through Riva Insight’s Meeting Notes features, your users can seamlessly create and securely share their meeting notes as Interaction Summaries in FSC, directly from Outlook. This release allows for highly curated information (including related account, opportunity, and attendee details) to be shared quickly, securely, and compliantly.  Your teams get the data they need, when they need it, in the workflows they prefer – without you worrying about a compliance breach.

Ease Your Sync Policy Administration With Personal Microsoft365 Mailboxes Connections

Deployment: Riva Cloud.

If you’ve had to administrate independent advisors or other personal mailboxes on behalf of your company, you know how complicated things can get in a hurry. Thankfully, Riva has a solution to simplify your life (or at least this task)!

Through its support of Personal Microsoft365 Mailboxes, Riva allows you to include personal mailboxes as part of your organization sync policy without requiring the mailboxes to be under your direct management. Rest assured –  Riva maintains the highest levels of security and confidentiality, no matter if the mailboxes are personal or corporate.

The best part is that we’ve made it simple to use. A dedicated website is set up for your independent users to configure their mailbox sync settings, using App Passwords to authenticate (recommended). Once verified, users get automatically matched with their CRM profile and calendar, email, or other modules as configured and start syncing.

You sent us feedback, and we listened! This release includes changes to the interface of Riva Cloud.

What has changed exactly?

RivaCloud.com Login Page: The updated login page is  your default landing page and helps you accomplish the following goals:

  • Create a new account
  • Create a support ticket

Self-serve at our Support Resource Center.

Users Page: Riva refreshed the Users page to make your user management more straightforward.

  • User Status boxes now align to your Riva Cloud metrics with greater precision. When you select a box, the user list is filtered based on status.
  • Filters now also include a filter for Errors.


Metrics Page: Now features tooltips, a description of what Riva Cloud usage metrics mean to you and your business. They are accessible through a dropdown menu, along with an action button.

No More Wasted CRM Space With Unnecessary Attachments

In addition to the existing support of filtering out attachments by a specified maximum size, Riva now empowers you to filter out images by minimum size. This enhancement reduces friction for users as they no longer need to manually filter out small-sized attachments like signature icons or inline images.

  • Riva On-premise admins: we encourage you to add the following key to your policy: Sync.Crm.InlineAttachmentFilter.MinSize= 5000 (Size in kb).
  • Riva Cloud customers: contact support, and we’ll help you enable this option asap.

What We Fixed

Greater Granularity for Enhanced Emails Related to Multiple Contacts

Deployment: Riva On-Premise.

Now Riva allows for an email message to show up in the Activity History for all contacts it is related to. Riva admins can upgrade for free by adding the key below to your Salesforce connection:

  • Salesforce.EnhancedEmail.ResetTaskRelations=true.


Filter Exchange Emails Originating From the Goldmine Email Program

Deployment: Riva On-Premise.

Exchange-syncing users can send emails to CRM contacts from Goldmine. Emails originating from the Goldmine Database will be filtered out from being synced through Sent Items folder on the Exchange server, avoiding duplicate records. Please contact the Riva Success Team to get it configured.
